SagePay is a global payment gateway that allows Salesforce B2C Commerce merchants the ability to accept payments in multiple currencies. SagePay supports Multi-Capture and SecureStorageEnabled (also referred to as Tokenization by other payment providers). SagePay is an easy-to-use, multi-functional application that uses a laptop and web browser to process card payments.

• Payment transactions can be handled as follows:
  • Authorization transactions: authorizes a valid payment method with a customer's order. The payment is then captured once the order items are fulfilled.
  • Sale transaction: authorizes a valid payment method with a customer's order and automatically captures the funds as a single transaction.
• Tokenization: The SagePay Vault service supports a process known in the payment industry as “tokenization,” which allows merchants to create and register a customer profile containing credit card information on SagePay. In return SagePay generates and returns an alphanumeric token or data key. Using the token, the merchant can later bill the consumer without needing to store or send a credit card number. The TokenizedEnabled field for tokenization is set to 'Yes' or 'No' in the SagePay External Payment Processors in the Administration module.
